Can I get a pattern and a tech pack for my crop tops from a photo?

Yes. The garment read and the pattern quote are free with no account; a professional pattern maker then cuts the DXF pattern from $29, and the tech pack is an add-on at $10.

Your photo is stored for 30 days, then deleted. It is used to make your image, and by the studio if you continue there. If you order a pattern from it, a copy is kept with your order.

On this platform the AI does the design and visualisation work and a human pattern maker cuts the pattern. That split is deliberate. How the pattern is made.

Tech Pack for a crop top

A pattern turns your crop top into the pieces a factory cuts: a professional pattern maker drafts the DXF file, and the tech pack is an add-on.

Keep the measurements of a crop top you like at hand: chest or waist, length and sleeve bring the first fitting closer.

Most crop tops start from cotton jersey; polyester jersey is the less usual line on a bill of materials.

What you get

A DXF pattern file drafted by a professional pattern maker, priced by how complex the crop top is, with the tech pack, grading and marker as add-ons.

Step by step

  1. Show the crop top from the front and the back, as an image or a photo.
  2. Give the measurements you want, or a size chart you already use.
  3. Name the cloth, because the pattern allows for its stretch and shrinkage.
  4. Review the pattern and cut a first sample from it.

A common mistake

Ordering a pattern before the cloth is chosen: a pattern drafted for a rigid cloth will not fit in a stretch one.

Bill of materials lines for crop tops

Cotton jersey
140 to 220 g/m²; machine wash at 30 to 40 °C
Single jersey
140 to 200 g/m²; machine wash cold, inside out
Stretch velvet
220 to 300 g/m²; dry clean
Polyester jersey
120 to 180 g/m²; machine wash at 30 to 40 °C

Typical trade ranges, not one mill's figures: confirm them with your mill.

The crop top, in numbers

A crop top stops above the waist, so its hem and its proportion to the waistband below are the design. It is cut from knit or woven cloth, often close to the body.

Key measurements
Bust, armhole and length
Pattern pieces
about 2 to 6, usually the simple pattern tier ($29)
Cloth needed
about 0.5 to 0.9 m of 150 cm cloth

Typical figures for an adult size M. The pattern tier is set from the real piece count when you order.
